View Article  ShellNews.net: EMAIL TO THE BORNEO BULLETIN: NEWS BLACKOUT ON ROYAL DUTCH SHELL GROUP vs. Dr JOHN HUONG
Is Malaysia a Police State? Why has there been no reporting of this important unprecedented defamation case involving the issuing of multiple injunctions, contempt of court proceedings, threats of imprisonment etc. against Dr Huong? I have lost count of the High Court hearings on the case. They have also been countless legal documents filed with the High Court of Malaya in KL, most of which are in the public domain. Yet not one word about these matters has been reported in the Malaysian media.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: Financial Times guest columnist (and Royal Dutch Shell consultant) David Bowen replies to our criticism
You are clearly using Wikipedia as assiduously as you used Tell Shell Forum, and in your role as thorn in the flesh of one company, you are clearly highly effective.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: Shell General Counsel Richard Wiseman: Practising what you preach
Our interpretation was that far from being “unmoved” by our activities, as Mr Wiseman claimed in one of his amusing emails to us, in fact certain members of Shell management collectively suffer from diarrhoea in reaction to our initiatives, to put it tactfully.   more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: When is Shell going to sue former Shell International Group Auditor Bill Campbell for defamation?
Mr Campbell says that ESDV leak-off tests were purposely falsified, not once but many times. He further alleges that the inaction of the relevant Asset Manager, the General Manager, the Oil Director and the Shell Expro Managing Director in 1999 (Malcolm Brinded), contributed in some part to the unlawful killing of two persons on Brent Bravo in September 2003.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: Shell defamation action against Dr John Huong: An Open Offer to Shell
This was followed by a string of other scandals: the Corrib debacle in Ireland (where Shell had five people jailed), the sale of tainted gasoline, fictitious trading, the Brent Bravo tragedy, a $10 BILLION cost overrun on the Sakhalin 2 white elephant project in Russia and the continuing crimes by Shell against Nigerian nationals in the obscene plunder and pollution of Nigeria. As a Shell insider pointed out to me yesterday, there is a common denominator in most of these scandals: his name is Malcolm Brinded.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: Shell finishing school for corporate crooks: 2 August 2006
Sir David Varney is another graduate of the Shell management finishing school for corporate crooks, some of whom have already been publicly exposed as fraudsters as a result of the Shell reserves scandal. The name of Sir Philip Watts springs to mind.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: A Shell insiders “Live Chat” posting On the Shell/NAM Warffum deaths (updated)
On the Warffum deaths: during the incident all the directors and their poodles were having one of many conferences in Houston. When the news broke, nobody knew what to do and who should take charge. So all the bosses left the conference and went home. A clear sign of blind panic and a malfunctioning organisation. I work for Shell and witnessed all this from very close.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: Updated: Shell issues High Court “Summons in Chambers” targeted against the co-owner/publisher of this website
Is it possible that Shell management is so out of touch that it does not realise just how bad this looks to outside observers? Eight Royal Dutch Shell companies ganging up and terrorising an unemployed formally loyal employee of 29 years standing, while also trying to coerce an infirm old man into travelling to Malaysia for interrogation by Shell lawyers, possibly followed by incarceration.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: Royal Dutch Shell unsuccessful attempt to thwart Ogoni U.S. Class Action
The disgraced former Group Chairman of Shell, Sir Philip Watts, and his equally ruthless predecessor, Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, have already given answers under oath in London in reply to questions put by US attorneys acting for the plaintiffs.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: A climate of fear among Shell employees
“We all know that Campbell's statements are correct. Wrong behaviour has been introduced by the top brass who wanted to score points. If you piss off people who have some criticism and reward people who make nice promises, the culture soon changes.”    more »
View Article  The Independent: Johann Hari: Payback time for corporate villains? (Read this one Dr John Huong)
Not only has their environment been destroyed; the people of the Niger Delta have seen none of the profits. Although Shell has extracted more than £30bn from the area, the people who live on the land survive on less than 60 pence a day, with barely any roads, schools or hospitals. Many of the Ogoni people who have spoken out against this scandal have been killed by the Nigerian state. Shortly before he was seized on ludicrous trumped-up charges, Saro-Wiwa said: "This is it. They are going to arrest us all and execute us all for Shell." Although Shell vociferously denies responsibility, their close business partner swiftly hanged Saro-Wiwa, and a major critic of the corporation was conveniently silenced.   more »

View Article  ShellNews.net: CORRESPONDENCE WITH SHELL INTERNATIONAL GENERAL COUNSEL RICHARD WISEMAN REGARDING DR JOHN HUONG
Messrs. TH Liew in Kuala Lumpur. This is the sleazy Malaysian law firm which last week sent an agent to the home of Dr Huong in the dark of night without prior notice to serve further Injunctive proceedings on him (on 19 April 2006 at 8.21pm). It was a reprehensible shock tactic (worthy of Kendall Freeman) clearly designed to intimidate him and his family.    more »
