View Article  Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll, P.L.L.C.: Slave Labor at Royal/Dutch Shell Group
Shell additionally held the dubious distinction not only of having collaborated with the Nazi Regime to bring Deutsche Gasoline into fruition, but also of sharing control over the company with I.G. Farben Industrie - the infamous producer of Zyklon B poison gas. Despite its enormous wealth - as quantified by annual sales in excess of $93 billion - Shell has failed to compensate any of the men and women who worked on its grounds between 1943 and 1945.   more »

The Respondent is not anti-Shell but is very much opposed, as a Shell shareholder, to any Shell senior management actions which are contrary to Shell’s own much proclaimed ethical code – its Statement of General Business Principles pledging honest, integrity and openness in all of Shell’s dealings. If Shell had abided by these worthy principles, the Respondent would never have had grounds to successfully bring a series of High Court Actions against Shell UK Limited, nor would the reserves scandal have occurred. The Respondent has publicly heaped praise on a Shell chairman, Sir John Jennings, when he demonstrated his total commitment to Shell’s ethical code. Unfortunately there has not been much to praise in more recent years.    more »
View Article  ShellNews.net: DOMAIN NAME BATTLE FOR ROYAL DUTCH SHELL PLC . com: CHAPTER ONE:
Since it appears that Shell has decided to abandon its ambition to seize Shell related domain names owned by me, Alfred Donovan, I have decided to publish details of the proceedings which Shell International Petroleum Company Limited brought against me last May (2005) via The World Intellectual Property Organisation. For some reason Shell was upset that I beat them to the top level domain name for their new $223 BILLION company: ROYAL DUTCH SHELL PLC. Out of the three best top level domain names relating to Shell - Shell.com, RoyalDutchShellPlc.com and RoyalDutchShellGroup.com - I own two and Shell owns one. That seems a perfectly reasonable state of affairs. Is it my fault that Shell management are a bunch of incompetents?    more »

ZARROLI: But Gheit said the company hasn't gone far enough. There have been recent reports that Shell executives knew about reserve problems long before they told the public. Yesterday the new chairman denied he had any prior knowledge. Gheit says the restatement suggests there's some big problems with the way the company is run. He says getting rid of two senior executives doesn't address this. That's especially true, he says, because some executives who approved the earlier reserve estimates are still with the company. One thing Shell should consider, he says, is to bring in new management from outside.   more »
