This appears to be further concrete proof that the fears of Bill Campbell, the former Group Auditor of Shell International, about a ruthless Shell senior management which puts production (and profits) before the safety of Shell workers, are well founded. more »

On 1 March 2007 I sent an email to Terry Macalister at The Guardian newspaper bringing his attention to developments relating to Shell’s safety record in its North Sea operations. On 5 March, The Guardian newspaper published an article under the headline: “Shell safety record in North Sea takes a hammering”. more »

While it seemed to the outside world that the repercussions of the Brent Bravo scandal had subsided, with media focus switched to BP’s troubles, Shell has in fact been trying to keep a lid on sensitive information emerging relating to the untimely deaths of innocent Brent Bravo workers. Sensitive because the machinations personally involve Shell CEO Jeroen van der Veer and Malcolm Brinded, the Executive Director of Shell EP. As will become clear, Brinded had a vested interest in trying to cover-up past events. more »

Shame on you Donovans! You really should check out your facts and sources before you publish such diatribe as your article that you foolishly purport to be label the insider story on Sakhalin. You have no clue what you are talking about which only serves to further worsen the already sad stature of this very pathetic and misguided website more »

Shell clearly failed in its duty to operate its North Sea Assets according to the approved Safety Case. Shell has attempted to refute the contents of its own internal audits driven by the same “Bandits” who failed to take action when they should have done in 1999. This group are despicable and dangerous men requiring external pressures to ensure they are brought to justice thus exposing them to the full force of the Law together with Public opinion not forgetting the wrath of the Shareholders influence. more »

It will be interesting to see the timing on this imprisonment threat, bearing in mind the fast approaching inaugural AGM of ROYAL DUTCH SHELL PLC. Will Shell management be willing to risk another PR debacle which will inevitably focus even more attention on the matters raised by Dr Huong and on publications made on my websites? It is quite a poker game. All in all, a no win situation for Shell.

When I saw this one I thought this was a joke, trying to outdo Dogbert of Scott Adams Dilbert. But this is serious matter, sent from a very senior Finance manager. Scott Adams manages to get the message across in 3 pictures. But it now is clear that the top of the Finance community in Europe has gone stark raving mad. more »

Platenkamp talked back too much to Botts (head EPE) and is therefore eased out with someone who does not know anything about EP and is therefore more pliable. I call this ‘surrounding oneself with sycophants’. How does this jive with the wish of v.d.Veer to improve know-how and longer postings in EP? more »
